Your Experience

It only takes four easy steps for you to get your hands on some awesome photos of your favourite pet! There will be no forced posing or pressure for your animal to perform - it's all good fun!

1

The Consultation

When you make an enquiry, you will receive a welcome email and my initial Client Guide PDF booklet with snippets of information to get you started. I will then make every effort to contact you within 24 hours. When we make contact, I will offer you a chance for us to meet in person. If that is not suitable, we will talk on the phone. However, I really believe face to face is the best way for you to consider if to go ahead with a session. We can meet at a cafe, either near you or I can choose one near me. This is our chance to get to know each other and for me to ask a little bit about your pet and what you are after. I will also bring along some samples of my work and leave you with an actual physical Client Guide and my Pricing and Product Guide. There is no need to make a decision at our meeting. You can go away and I would prefer that, for you to think if this is what you want. I will call you the next day. If you go ahead with a photo shoot, this is when we talk about the details.

2

The Photo Session

This is when the fun begins - the actual photo session! The on-location photo shoot will be based on our consultation, and tailored to your pet’s personality and to the overall look and feel we are trying to achieve. My aim will be to capture a combination of posed, candid and action shots.

3

Your Photos are ready!

Just after your session you will get a sneak peek look at one or two of the photos we created, sent to you on a mobile app, plus it will be shown on Facebook. In the meantime, I will be working very hard on preparing your images to upload to your private gallery. You will be able to download your high resolution images (for printing) and your social media sized images for sharing.

4

Order Pick-Up

If you choose any products, they should be ready within 3 to 4 weeks from ordering your art work. I will personally drop off your artwork to your home or any other convenient location of your choosing.

Brenda is fantastic at what she does! We could not be happier with the way our photos of our beloved Toby turned out. Toby has since passed away but we have beautiful memories of him to share with family and friends on Facebook and instagram.

Brenda is so down to earth and really captures what you’re looking for.  She is able to capture lovely candid moments that show emotion and love.

I would recommend her to anyone looking for a talented pet photographer. Thank you Brenda for the lovely memories!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you only photograph dogs?

I love to photograph all kinds of animals. Although my sessions primarily focus on dogs, I am excited when I have an opportunity to photograph other animals such as cats, rabbits, or birds - basically nothing is too big or too small!

Can I be included in the session as well as other members of my family?

Yes absolutely! Dogs are family and I love it when families get involved in the photo shoot. I love showing the connection and love between the owners in my photos.

My dog doesn't know any tricks or commands - is that a problem?

Basic commands like sit or stay are very beneficial to a session but not a requirement. Allowing them the freedom to be themselves lets their personality shine through. I would recommend practicing your sit/stay a few days prior to your session, even if it is working with them on a lead and being able to move to the side a couple of steps. However, I can still work with your pet on a lead and in post-processing leads can be removed. So please do not worry about it - safety is key here - always!

Where does my photo shoot take place?

Anywhere you like - home, a local park, the beach or city. If you are unsure, I can help you out in our consultation. However, a note to kitty parents, most cat photography sessions take place in the home. In my Sessions Guide you will find all the information you will need for a successful photo shoot.

How do I prepare for the shoot?

Don't worry. You will receive my Session Guide outlining in detail what you can do to help make the photo shoot the best it can be. You can also ask me as many questions you need to before the photo shoot.

How much does a typical client spend?

Total client investment varies greatly, however most clients tend to spend between $550-$1200 plus on their experience. What you choose to order is completely up to you. My goal is to help you create artwork that you will LOVE for a lifetime.

What if it rains?

If it rains I am happy to reschedule the session. However, weather conditions can provide different photo opportunities. For example, cloudy days, are perfect for outdooor shots as they are a natural light diffuser filter, especially here in Perth. I recommend photographing in the evening or early morning, as this gives us the best and most beautiful light that allows me to capture your fur friend in the best way. If this is not possible, we will work it out together.

How far will you travel?

Generally, I will travel within one and half hours from my home free of charge. Anything outside that will incur a small fee.

Do you sell Gift Certificates?

Absolutely! Gift certificates are a brilliant way to spoil someone close to you who is an animal lover. To find out more about my Gift Certificates, please click here.

Do you photograph in black and white?

Yes I do. I love black and white photos, especially of our animals. If you prefer a black and white portrait, just let me know and I will have a selection of b&w images for you to choose from.
